Stinking Thinking can be our greatest of spiritual burdens.
The key to dealing with negative thinking is to stop the thoughts before they build into a dominating sense of pessimism and helplessness. Don’t believe everything you think. “Stinking Thinking” feeds on negative attitudes and resistance to spiritual growth. Watch for signs of negative thinking like self-pity, impatience, blame, rationalization, resentment, anger, and pessimism.
When Stinking Thinking makes it’s ugly appearance in your day today, will you recognize it as a choice? What “tool” will you use to combat it? Mindfulness? Breath? Personal Pause? What will you do TODAY to make it a good day.
