A feeling is an emotional state or reaction. Feelings are neither good nor bad; they just are. All feelings are legitimate, but it’s important to remember that many feelings are not facts and they are often fleeting.

It is healthy to experience all types of feelings, but it’s also healthy to think before you react to those feelings. You are not at the mercy of your emotions. If you feel anxious or sad or angry, think of something positive to counter that emotion.

Close your eyes, take a deep breathe, pause, slowly exhale, pause and repeat three times. How do you feel now?
