Welcome to today. It’s a great day. HappyNow?
Whatever our individual troubles and challenges may be, it’s important to pause every now and then to appreciate all that we have, on every level. A time for giving thanks.
My plan for this morning is to make a list of 5 things I have experienced recently that I believe are blessings in my life, a “gratitude list”, then I’ll take a moment to give a silent thanks for each of them. It only takes a minute.
This periodic exercise in gratitude reminds me to enjoy and relish the prosperity I already have, instead of wishing for things I want to have.
Gratitude also builds upon itself. The more we practice it, the more we see to be thankful for, and the more fulfilling our lives become. The opposite is also true, the less we practice being grateful, the less we will see to be thankful for, and the less fulfilling our lives will be.
When we are grateful for the good stuff we already have, we attract more good stuff into our life. However, when we are ungrateful for the good stuff we already have in our life, we tend to shut ourselves off from the good stuff that we might otherwise experience.
Make a daily “Gratitude List”and fully experience it’s meaning in your life today.
Remember to push the pause button.
