What are the two days each week that cause you troubled thinking? What can you do to ease your stress?
For me there were two days every week which used to consume my thinking. Recently I have made positive strides to change my attitude about those two days. I am now more aware and I try not to worry, regret, fear or be apprehensive about those two days. The two days that used to be so stressful for me were “Yesterday” and “Tomorrow”.
Yesterday is history. Yesterday is forever beyond my control. Those storms have passed. Tomorrow is a mystery. Tomorrow is beyond my immediate control. Tomorrow the sun will rise either in splendor or behind clouds. I have no immediate stake in tomorrow. Today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the PRESENT. Today is all I have. Yes, I can learn from yesterday, and plan for tomorrow, but I try to keep my focus on TODAY. NOW!
In reality, the present moment is all that exists, the past and future simply exist in our “thoughts”. The present is the only thing that is real. The problem is that too many of us are programmed to “live” in our thoughts. Too often we fail to notice what is actually going on today, right now. Most people live in a “thinking world”. When we step out of this mental world and into the NOW, we experience our true self. We are able to live our life fully.
Are you doing the best you can to live in today? Practice makes progress.
