Go For A Walk

“If you are seeking creative ideas, go for a walk. Angels whisper to us when we go for a walk.” —Buddha

I love walking. I love biking. I love nature.

I love my road bike because it allows me to venture away from my neighborhood to places I would never think of visiting by car or foot. I love my mountain bike because offers the opportunity leave behind the chaos and noise  of the paved road and explore beautifully wooded trails in quiet exploration of natural terrain. I love my Spin bike because it affords me the opportunity to close my eyes and let my stream of imagination paint the landscape.

For me, it’s when I ride my bike that my creative mind whispers words of wisdom, calmness and wonder. It’s refreshing,

What do you do when you want to clear your mind? What do you do when you have a problem weighing heavily on your mind? What do you do when you’re simply in a bad mood. We all need an activity to refresh ourselves at those times. Refreshment doesn’t solve a problem, but it can revitalize our thinking.

Search for an activity that is simple, inexpensive, and accessible daily. Going for a walk or riding a bike is a very good example. Daily reading, listening to calming music  or playing an instrument are excellent choices. Observing nature, enjoying arts and crafts, or hobbies can be  refreshing.  These activities allow us to temporarily set aside our daily responsibilities, tasks and concerns and open our eyes and ears to  whispers of our creative minds ideas.

Give yourself a “time out” from the stress of today ‘s responsibility.  Give yourself a creative break to refresh your thinking.  Go for a walk and listen for the “Angel’s Whisper”.

Enjoy a Pause now.
